What started as a simple curiosity—and the desire for a few backyard chickens for fresh eggs—quickly grew into a passion that changed our lives. Over the years, we’ve fallen in love with raising chickens—not just for their eggs, but for their unique personalities, beautiful breeds, and the joy they bring every single day.

Together, our flocks include a variety of ornamental, heritage, and rare breeds. We share a passion for everything from hatching chicks and raising healthy birds to learning about poultry genetics and helping others discover the incredible world of backyard chickens.

Kind of Homesteading was created to share that passion with others. Alongside our sister business, Cluster Flock Chickens & Quail, we love educating fellow poultry keepers, offering quality hatching eggs and chicks, creating helpful resources, and sharing both the successes and challenges that come with this amazing hobby.

Like any journey, ours hasn’t always been easy. We’ve celebrated incredible milestones and faced heartbreaking setbacks that have taught us resilience, patience, and the importance of always putting our birds’ health and well-being first. Every experience has made us better chicken keepers and strengthened our commitment to raising happy, healthy flocks.
