Returns & Refunds Policy – Digital Downloads
Thank you for supporting Kind of Homesteading.
Due to the nature of digital products, all digital download sales are final.
Digital Products
Our digital products include printable planners, guides, educational resources, templates, artwork, and other downloadable files.
Because these products are delivered instantly after purchase and cannot be returned, we do not offer refunds, returns, exchanges, or cancellations once an order has been completed.
Exceptions
If you experience any of the following issues, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help:
- You did not receive your download.
- The file is corrupted or will not open.
- You received the wrong file.
- There is a technical issue preventing you from accessing your purchase.
We will work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, including providing a replacement file when appropriate.
Unauthorized Sharing
All digital products sold by Kind of Homesteading are for personal use only, unless otherwise stated.
You may not:
- Copy or redistribute our digital products.
- Resell or share downloaded files.
- Upload our products to websites or file-sharing services.
- Claim our designs or content as your own.
Copyright remains the property of Kind of Homesteading.
Returns & Refunds Policy – Handcrafted Items
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Please include:
- Your order number.
- A description of the issue.
- Clear photos of the item and packaging.
We will gladly work with you to provide a replacement, store credit, or refund where appropriate.
Refunds
Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the status of your refund.
If approved, your refund will be processed to your original method of payment within 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a damaged item.
Exchanges
At this time, we do not offer direct exchanges.
If you would like a different item, please place a new order after your return has been processed (where applicable).
Handmade Items
Please remember that each handcrafted item is made by hand. Small variations in colour, wood grain, fabric placement, finish, or other natural characteristics are part of what makes each piece unique and are not considered defects.

Thank you for choosing The Nesting Box! We are excited to bring a little surprise and joy to backyard chicken keepers across Canada.
Each box is thoughtfully curated with a seasonal selection of products for both you and your flock, including treats, enrichment, handmade items, coop essentials, gardening goodies, educational resources, and other carefully chosen surprises.
Curated & Seasonal Boxes
Every Nesting Box is uniquely curated.
Contents are selected based on the current season and availability Photos shown on our website or social media are examples only and may not represent the exact contents of your box.
Some items are handcrafted or sourced from small Canadian businesses, which means products may vary slightly from month to month.
Randomized Contents
Part of the fun is the surprise!
Items are intentionally randomized, and no two boxes are guaranteed to be identical.
Whenever possible, we make every effort to avoid sending duplicate items to returning customers.
Allergies & Dietary Considerations
Some boxes may include natural treats, herbs, seeds, or other products intended for poultry.
While we carefully select quality products, it is the customer’s responsibility to review ingredients and ensure any products are appropriate for their flock.
If you have concerns about a particular ingredient or product, please contact us before ordering.
Subscription Renewals
If you purchase a recurring subscription, your subscription will automatically renew according to the plan you selected until cancelled.
You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time before your next renewal date. Any cancellation will apply to future renewals only and will not affect boxes that have already been processed or shipped.
If you offer one-time purchase boxes as well, those orders will not renew automatically.
Shipping
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and are charged separately unless otherwise stated.
Once your subscription box has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation (when available).
Delivery times are estimates only and may vary depending on Canada Post or other shipping carriers.
Returns & Refunds
Due to the curated and seasonal nature of our subscription boxes, we do not accept returns or offer refunds on boxes that have already been shipped.
However, if your box arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

- Clear photos of the damaged item(s) and packaging
We will review each situation individually and may offer a replacement, store credit, or another appropriate solution where possible.
Handmade Items
Many products included in The Nesting Box are handcrafted.
Because handmade items are created individually, slight differences in colour, finish, wood grain, stitching, or other details are normal and are part of what makes each item unique. These natural variations are not considered defects.
Product Availability
Occasionally, a featured item may become unavailable due to supplier shortages or seasonal availability.
If this happens, we reserve the right to substitute it with another item of equal or greater value that fits the monthly theme.
